Survival Gear-2

Eat and Run

It's hard to stay healthy on the road. I've tried more health bars, power bars, protein bars, and meal replacement bars than I can count. This is by far my favorite. It wins for me in the categories of healthiness and best tasting. I've tried some that are pretty healthy but taste horrible and others that are just a candy bar with a few nuts. These are not extremely cheap, but they pass through airport security easily and beat paying for overpriced airport food. Who needs to pay for indigestion, you can get that for free. I Have The Power

It's always a good idea to travel with a power brick. You will often use your phone quite a bit on travel days listening to lessons, coachings, recordings, and killing time while waiting for flights and other transportation. You will often be in remote areas as well, and when your phone is roaming, it will die faster. There are a lot of good power bricks out there, some larger, some smaller, but this one packs a punch and won't break the bank. (Click heading or image for link to purchase-Paid Link)

Can You Hear Me Now?

Phone service is incredibly tricky to figure out when you're traveling internationally and all over America. There are so many different carriers and plans form which to choose. My favorite is T-Mobile. It has free data and texting many countries and international calls are often 25 cents or less. My bill for 3 phone lines with unlimited data, talk and text is $120 a month. When I land in Ireland or France to sing a gig, I don't have to do anything, the phone is all ready to go. Some international travelers buy SIM cards which they purchase in the country to put in their unlocked phones. That can work as well but sometimes is more expensive. However, if you want to save some money and not fuss with all of that, T-Mobile is the way to go. The reception is not amazing everywhere you go, but even the best carriers have dead spots. Feel the Burn

This magic elixir tastes horrible and it's not wise to drink without first diluting it with water. However, for gut health, music thinning, and a whole host of other afflictions, this little miracle concoction will do wonders. If you hate taking pills or don't need the severe drying Mucinex provides, this can do the trick. Make sure to get the version with "the mother" in it. I recommend the brand Braags to everyone as well as many of the other brands are already diluted and you'll want the concentrated form. You can find it at any local grocery store, just shake and add as little as a teaspoon or as much as 2 tablespoons depending on your tolerance and your needs. Also, read up about some of the other things people use it for, you might become a believer as well. This stuff has saved me more than once when things don't feel right in my body or throat. Gotcha Covered

Though not the most beautiful looking creations, these phone cases are the ultimate way to protect your phone in day to day use and on the road. They are not waterproof, but very few cases are, and if you want to maximize the resale value of your phone or just keep it in great shape because you can't afford a new one, this is the way to go.
